A Dinghy Church
Acts 2:1-21
The Spirit pours out flames upon each of us, not for the sake of growing our finances, or for the sake of larger membership, but for the sake of our neighbors. We’re not a cargo freighter at sea; we’re a dinghy on a lake, and when we open our sail, can easily catch the wind of the Spirit.
Bewildered But Not Afraid

“Though each of you, and me, and everyone in this room might be bewildered and confused by what happens next, it’s okay. Because God calls us to be bewildered, but not afraid.”
The Spirit Speaks Backwards

Even though we may always carry scars, we will always carry the Spirit, too. Even when our lives have moved on–or the news cycle has moved on–it doesn’t mean the Spirit will abandon the past we carry.
